Your Moab Photographer
HEY HEY! I’M MANDIE!
With 7 years of traditional wedding experience, I’ve seen a few things. Traditional weddings and elopements are different animals, but both bring unexpected twists that need quick thinking and solid backup plans. That’s where I come in.
I’m more than just your hype woman. I come prepared with backup plans A through Z, know which trails are dog-friendly, and can guide you to both epic overlooks and the best tacos in town. My job? To make your desert elopement easy, fun, and unforgettable—no matter what the day throws our way.

Is Moab Calling Your Name?
Maybe it started with one photo: a couple holding hands beneath Delicate Arch at sunrise, or wrapped in each other’s arms as the canyon walls glowed around them. Before you know it, you’ve fallen into a Google spiral of Moab elopements—and now you can’t stop asking yourself: is this where we should say our vows?
Here’s the thing: Moab is incredible, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s bold, raw, and a little unpredictable—and that’s the part that makes it so unforgettable. So rather than me telling you “yes, elope here” or “no, it’s not for you,” let’s walk through the vibe. If you find yourself saying yep, that’s us, then Moab is probably calling your name.

You’re Up for a Short Walk—or Even a Hike—for Epic Views
Not every epic photo spot in Moab is a long trek, but some of the most breathtaking locations do require a little effort. If you’re okay with a short walk, or even a mini adventure hike, you’ll be rewarded with views that make your photos epic!
Sand Dune Arch: 0.3 mile
Windows Loop Trail : 0.7 mile
Delicate Arch– 3.2 miles
Corona Arch– 3 miles
Some spots are drive-up or super short walks, while others give you that “adventure earned” feeling. Either way, getting to your photo location is part of the experience—and it makes the memories (and photos!) even more epic.

Ceremony Spots vs. Photo Freedom
Are you mesmerized by the arches and canyons? Already wondering what your ceremony could look like? It’s good to know that ceremonies are only allowed in specific locations for the following parks.
The upside? You’re not confined to those exact spots for your photos. You can still explore beyond the ceremony location, hiking to overlooks and wandering through trails. That’s where having a Moab elopement photographer who knows the ins and outs comes in handy!

Early Mornings = Best Photos & Comfort
Moab heats up fast, especially in summer, which makes sunrise one of the best times for photos. Early mornings offer:
- Cooler temps
- Soft, golden light
- A calm, quiet atmosphere
- Fewer crowds
It’s perfect for first looks, private vows, and easing into the day together. And don’t worry—I’m a coffee-before-anything human too. I know all the cutest local spots to fuel up before your adventure.
But depending on the season, early evening golden hour can be just as stunning. In cooler months, sunset light on the red rocks is insanely romantic and cinematic.
Bottom line: Moab gives you options.
Whether you’re catching the first light creeping over the canyons or soaking in that golden sunset glow, we’ll choose the timing that fits the season and the vibe you want for your day.

Adventure Over Perfection Every Time
Moab isn’t polished ballroom glam—and that’s exactly what makes it breathtaking. The wind might tousle your hair, dust could settle on your dress, and a little dirt might end up on your hands or knees as you hike to a hidden spot. These are the moments that make Moab, well… Moab.
It’s the breathtaking sunsets, the sweeping canyon winds, and the rugged landscape that create the epic, one-of-a-kind experience (and photos!) you’ll cherish forever. Letting go of control and embracing the desert’s wild, untamed energy is exactly what turns a beautiful elopement into an unforgettable adventure.
If you love that kind of real, untamed magic, this is the place for you.

You love stargazing and adventure vibes.
Moab is basically a playground for adults, with experiences that range from thrilling to laid-back:
- Jeep tours and UTV rides on iconic trails like Hell’s Revenge
- Hot air balloon rides for sweeping sunrise views over the red rocks
- BASE jumping and climbing adventures for adrenaline seekers
- Canyoneering and hiking through hidden arches and canyons
- Paddleboarding or kayaking on the Colorado River
- Explore the town itself! Moab has a fun, small-town vibe with local coffee shops, cute boutiques, and restaurants that are perfect for grabbing a bite or celebrating your elopement.
And when the day winds down, the magic doesn’t stop. Moab is part of a certified Dark Sky Park region, meaning the night skies are unreal. Imagine ending your elopement day under a blanket of stars—maybe with a cozy campfire, s’mores, or just cuddling with your partner as the desert glows in moonlight.

So… Should You Elope in Moab?
If you found yourself nodding along—or quietly whispering “hell yes”—then Moab just might be the place your love story was meant to unfold. And if some of the desert’s challenges sound overwhelming? That’s okay too! The best elopement spot is the one that feels true to you.
If Moab has your heart racing, I’d love to help bring your dream day to life. I’ll guide you through elopement planning, help with permits, and help you pick the best locations that fit your vibe!
